Story

Hi!  I'm Chloe, creator and author of Lost My Kitchen.

Lost My Kitchen was inspired by a situation I faced while traveling, particularly during a long trip across the western United States.  During this trip, I stayed at various lodging accommodations for a week to a couple months at a time, and these places had a wide range of options for food preparation.  Some had only a mini-fridge or a mini-fridge and one small appliance, and others had several small kitchen appliances but still no full stove/oven.  Almost none of the places had a full kitchen.

Since I was on a budget and also trying to eat simply and healthily, I had to get creative with my food prep quickly!  But the recipes and tips were scattered all over the internet, if they existed at all, rather than being in 1, 2, or even several convenient places.  Some appliances, situations, and workarounds were not covered at all.

If you've had similar frustrations and concerns, I have created a solution for you!  Lost My Kitchen has recipes, tips, and recommendations for each appliance and situation conveniently categorized and organized in a way that is easy for you to find and use.  No more piecing together scattered bits of info from all over the net!

As explained in the Welcome article, I know situations other than traveling and temporary accommodations can necessitate creative food prep.  Maybe you live in a tiny urban apartment, an RV, a van, or a dorm room.  Maybe you have a full kitchen but are dealing with a broken appliance or a temporary power loss.

Regardless of your situation, I sincerely hope the information provided by Lost My Kitchen helps you to have confidence in your cooking and to make the most of the options you have.  Let's get cooking!

We do not sell your data.  As explained in the policy, any third-party use is strictly limited to services like our email provider, which is considered a third party since it is a different company from the one that hosts the Lost My Kitchen website.

Personally identifiable information is data that is tied to you as a person.  We do not have access to any personally identifiable information about you.  Any analytics tools that we use to assess traffic and demographics will only capture, at most, your age and gender.  Basically this means that they may capture something like, "Five females aged 20-35 visited your site on May 7," but I could not and would not attempt to identify or determine that Jane Smith visited the site on that date or from a specific phone or computer.

For your security and protection, we use HTTPS encryption on all parts of lostmykitchen.com.
